NTU starts lunchtime Masses

FOLLOWING in the footsteps of the popular lunchtime Masses in the city, the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Catholic Students' Apostolate (CSA) launched its own lunchtime Mass on Jan 29.

Held in lecture theatre 26, the half-hour Mass was celebrated at 12.30 pm to cater to students who would like to spend some time with the Lord in the midst of their hectic university life. Catholic NTU staff and undergraduates who were too busy to attend the usual CSA Wednesday evening Mass had the opportunity to have fellowship with each other during this Mass.

Franciscan Friar John Paul Tan in his homily reminded those present that even with their busy schedules, they must take time to let others know Christ.

Mark Tang, 21, a CSA committee member, said, "I hope that through this Eucharistic celebration, more will come to realise that we cannot neglect God in our studies. We hope more Catholic students will participate in CSA activities, to help build God's kingdom here in NTU."

The lunchtime Mass will be held every last Friday of the month.
